Thank you for visiting my blog for the first time. This is the very first post I’m sharing here.
In this space, I’ll be writing about my personal thoughts on filmmaking and how I approach the creative process. To start, I’d like to introduce a bit about myself.
📌 What This Post Covers
My background and how I discovered filmmaking
What I value most in the creative process
My strengths: Listening deeply and color grading with intention
Who I aim to reach through my films
How to get in touch or leave a comment
Nice to meet you. I’m Hiro—
a videographer who turns your message into meaningful film.

Hello, I’m Hiro, the founder of Omoi Film. I’m currently based in Canada, but starting in 2026, I’ll be shifting my base to Yamaguchi, Japan, where I’ll officially begin offering full-scale video production services nationwide.
To be honest, I was once someone who felt completely lost about what I wanted to do in life.
Through my early 30s, I drifted from one job to another in Japan, constantly asking myself, “Is this really where I’m meant to be?”I had no special skills or qualifications, and no clear vision for the future.
Determined to break free from that cycle, I decided to study abroad in Canada at the age of 33. Immersing myself in a new environment helped me awaken something I hadn’t felt before—a spark, a sense of purpose.
That’s when I was unexpectedly put in charge of my language school’s YouTube channel. It was my very first encounter with filmmaking.
I had zero experience or technical knowledge, but I dove into filming and editing on my own .Over a year and a half of trial and error, I found myself completely captivated by the power of video.
“I want to turn this experience into my strength.”
“And someday, I want to give back to my hometown of Yamaguchi.”
When those two thoughts came together, I realized that my path forward was through film.
“Who is this message really for?”

The kind of videos I want to create aren’t just about capturing beautiful visuals. While preserving memories is wonderful, what matters most to me is this: “Who is this meant to reach?”
I see film as a bridge—something that connects people.
No matter how polished a video may be, if it doesn’t reach the person it’s meant for, it loses its meaning. That belief has remained at the core of my work ever since I first started filming at my language school’s YouTube channel.
That’s why I care deeply about creating videos that resonate. Not just from the creator’s perspective—but in a way that truly stays with the viewer.
If you’re looking to make something that speaks to the heart, I’d love to help you bring that vision to life.
My strengths lie in the ability to understand unspoken feelings—and the skill to tell stories through color.

Ever since my teens, I’ve worked in retail and customer service—experiences that taught me how to tune into people’s thoughts and emotions. That ability to deeply listen and understand others now plays a vital role in how I approach communication and interviews during the filmmaking process.
I’ve always had a personality that dives in headfirst when something captures my interest, and filmmaking quickly became that passion. One area I’ve poured myself into is color grading.
Color is essential in conveying a film’s tone, temperature, and emotional depth.
It allows me to express the unspoken feeling behind a story—this is where my own sense of visual storytelling lives.
A story is drawn out through heartfelt conversation. A world expressed through careful color. And with the right blend of visuals, music, and pacing, I craft films that truly resonate.
To everyone who wants to share their story through film.

Who do I create films for?
・For those who have a message or story they want to share—and are looking for a way to express it through film.
・For businesses, shops, and organizations that want to communicate the value and vision behind their products or services in a compelling and authentic way.
・For people who struggle to put their thoughts into words, and are unsure how to express what truly matters to them.
Whether you're an individual or a company, if you're searching for a way to communicate your vision, I’d be honored to help bring your message to life through film—
to gently support you, and help transform what you want to say into something that truly resonates.
First, I’d love to hear what’s on your mind.

You’re more than welcome to reach out—even if your ideas aren’t fully formed yet.
Just sharing what’s been on your mind is more than enough.
I’ll take the time to listen closely and help shape your thoughts into something meaningful, together.
No detail is too small. I truly look forward to the day your story reaches the world.
In future blog posts, I’ll be sharing more about what drives me as a filmmaker, behind-the-scenes stories, insights into my color grading process, and examples from real projects. Whether you're interested in filmmaking or just searching for better ways to express your message, I hope you'll stop by again.
And if something in this post resonated with you, I’d be so glad to hear about it in the comments. Your words are what keep this space alive and growing.
